Well hello there, friend! My name is Melissa and I’m so excited you’re here. If you’ve come across this site on a quest for some mouthwatering and (mostly) healthy recipes, you’ve arrived at the right place.
Take a look around and you’ll notice that I like to have a bit of fun with my blog content, but am serious about my recipes and instructions. Why? Because I care more about making you smile than I do about optimizing my website according to Google’s SEO optimization standards. And because I want you and those you love to eat as deliciously as I do.

My cooking philosophy…
I love “superfoods” almost as much as I love Cajun foods, so I’ve married the two to make some amazing food babies that won’t leave you napping on maw maw’s couch after supper. Most of my home-cooked recipes feature healthy, whole ingredients with lots of veggies and little to no refined sugar because that’s what makes me feel great, and I want you to feel great too. And while I don’t follow any particular diet, I would describe my eating style and recipes as Flexitarian.
Not all of my dishes are Cajun (though many are Cajun-inspired). I love experimenting with a variety of cuisines, choosing ingredients with intention, and sharing my best with you. Because I believe that what we eat influences how we feel, and how we feel influences how we think.
